Minneapolis Climate Week
Citywide week of talks, site visits, and community events on practical climate action.
Climate Week NYC draws the biggest names and an international crowd every September, but it is no longer the only one. Cities and regions across the US now run climate weeks of their own, and they offer something the New York week cannot: a way into the climate work happening where you already live.
Programming varies by city and typically spans local climate resilience, coasts and oceans, the energy transition, workforce development, climate startups, and arts and culture. Most are spread across many venues over several days, and most sessions are free, so you can take part without a conference budget.
Every event is reviewed against our inclusion criteria before it is listed.

Frequently asked questions
What is a climate week?
A climate week is a city or region setting aside several days for climate work and opening it up. Rather than one programme in one venue, dozens of organisations — startups, universities, city departments, nonprofits, investors — each host their own session, and the week is the shared banner over them. A single week can run to a hundred events across as many venues, so people drop into the two or three that fit their work rather than attending the whole thing.
Do I need a ticket, and what does it cost?
Usually no single ticket exists. Each session is registered for separately through the host, and most are free. Some weeks run one paid anchor conference alongside the free programme. Because pricing varies session by session, the cards above link to each week’s own site rather than quoting a price.

Others announce through the winter and are added here as they do. Climate Week NYC, every September, remains the largest.
How do I get involved rather than just attend?
Most climate weeks run an open call for sessions some months ahead, and that is the way in: you or your company propose a workshop, a site visit, a panel or an open house, and it joins the official programme. Organisers are generally looking for practitioners with something concrete to show rather than keynote speakers. Volunteering and sponsorship are usually open too. Each week’s site lists the current call and its deadline — worth checking the one for your city well before the week itself.
That’s every climate week we have confirmed dates for. More are announced through the winter, and they are added here as they are. The directory lists 65 upcoming events in total — across every topic, region and price.
