Not every event is a fit — here's why we might decline. Not sure? Submit it anyway.
Why we might not list your event
We're selective. Most declines come down to one of these:
- It's a great event, but not a sustainability event. We list conferences where sustainability is the subject — not conferences for industries that work on environmental issues. A water utility operations conference and a conference on corporate water stewardship are different things.
- It's not built for professionals. Academic conferences, advocacy convenings, and events for the general public are outside what we cover.
- The exhibit hall is the main event. Trade shows and expos aren't a fit. A conference with an exhibit hall is still a conference.
- It's professional development, not subject matter. Leadership programs, career events, and networking gatherings are valuable — just not what this directory is for.
- It's shorter than a full day, or it's a webinar.
- It's vendor-hosted. Sales summits and user conferences don't make the list.
Not sure? Submit it anyway. We'd rather see it and decide than miss something helpful to the community. For the full picture, see our inclusion criteria.
